{BYSHC} Challenge Sketch #32 - Snowflakes and Sequins

Hello {BYSHC} Cardmaker Fans!  I am back with my second card for April's Challenge using Sketch #32.

This card features Waffle Flower's Circle Snowflake Shaker Die cut from white glitter paper and backed with velum.  Instead of making a shaker, I glued a cluster of small sequins in the bottom portion of the inner circle.  The papers are from my stash and the silver foiled sentiment is another one from Pinkfresh Studio's Foiled Sentiments 4 Holiday package.

Hope you will create a card using the sketch and upload it to the BYSHC Album #32.

It's the last day of the {BYSHC} Spring Linky Party, so quick - make a card and link it on the Blog for a chance to win a prize from one of our fabulous sponsors!  It's a great opportunity to work on your stash of holiday cards and rediscover some of your supplies!!  Sixteen sponsors means lots of chances for prizes for folks who play along!  Thanks for stopping my my blog.

{BYSHC} Spring Into Christmas Linky Party - Day 3

I am playing along with the {BYSHC} Spring Into Christmas Linky Party today with a  slimline card that features part of a sheet of beautiful scrapbook paper for the main image.

I think I bought this paper over a year ago at a shop in my area, knowing I would use it for a Christmas card.  My Pleated Lace Slimline Die set from sponsor Gina Marie Designs was the perfect size to capture these fun Santas.  I tied a red twine bow, added layers of white, red, and green behind the slimline die cut, popped on a sentiment from Pinkfresh Studios that I foiled in red, and finished the card with six Pinkfresh glittery embellishments.  Super quick and simple!!

I hope you have time to join in on our fun this week.  It's a great opportunity to get started making Christmas cards!  Just add your card to the Linky Party Gallery.  You may even win a prize from one of our wonderful sponsors!! Thanks for stopping by my blog.

{BYSHC} Spring Linky Party

I am having fun this week working on building up my stash of holiday cards with the {BYSHC} "Spring Into Christmas" Linky party.  It runs from today through April 28th and is the first of three opportunities to get a jump start on your holiday cards with Linky Parties before next December.

For this card, I used Sketch #31 and went with non-traditional Christmas colors from my paper collection.

A couple of the blue papers had splatters, but I added a few more by diluting the white gold cake from my Kuretake Watercolor box.  You can see that I also splattered the cute reindeer from Unity's Simple Little Joys stamp set.  That darling image is colored with a blend of Copics and OLO brown markers and framed using silver glitter paper cut from Kaisercraft Hanging Script Bauble die.  I tied it with some red twine to compliment the bits of red around the reindder, then added three silver embellishments and a silver foil sentiment from my collection of Pinkfresh Studios holiday sentiment pack.
I hope you will make some time to join us this week.  Link your card or cards on the BYSCH Blog.  I can't wait to see what you create!  Good luck!  Thanks for stopping by my blog!

{BYSHC} Cardmakers - April Sketch Challenge #32

A new month means a new sketch and challenge on the {BYSHC} Cardmakers Challenge Blog.

For this card, I decided to flip the sketch vertically and created the focal image from my paper scraps, a die, and a bold sentiment from MFT.
The ornament is part of a set from Kat Scrappiness, called Christmas Ornament Shaker Dies. I used the back of the round ornament and die cut it from a scrap of foiled paper.  I added MFT's Hand Lettered Christmas (retired) using gold embossing powder.  The die set has ornament tops, which I die cut from gold paper and then added a bow from my stash of ribbons. The last step was to add the three gold dots for embellishment.

Hope you can play along with our sketch this month.  Just post your card in the {BYSHC} FB Group Album.  Keep your eye on the blog because one of the {BYSHC} week-long Linky Parties is coming up in April.  It's a chance to build your Christmas stash of cards and win prizes!  Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Let's Craft & Create Challenge #194 - Pink & Gray

Welcome to the newest Let's Craft &Create AG Challenge!! April's optional theme is to use pink and gray.

I pulled out my new Pinkfresh Studio's Inky Bouquet stamp and die for the focal image of my card along with silver embossing powder and some Distress inks so I could watercolor.  Since I am not a watercolorist, embossing the image helps limit where the water can go!  I knew I wanted to represent a range of pinks in the floral bouquet, so I pulled out my cubes of Distress Ink Kitch Flamingo, Worn Lipstick, and Spun Sugar.  I used a light layer of Shabby Shutters with Pumice Stone for shading on the leaves. The stripes on the vase are colored with Pumice Stone Distress Oxide ink and the same color is used on the background - Simon Hurley's Moroccan Tile background stamp.  It's splattered with watered white and pink inks.  A scrap of pink in the worn lipstick tone anchors the vase.  I popped on a sentiment and three Pinkfresh Iridescent Clear drops.  This was such a fun card to make!  I know this vase will come out again.  I loved embracing the colors of the challenge - pink and gray are a gorgeous combination.

I am looking forward to seeing the creations this month.  Please share your makes in the LC&C Gallery!  Thanks for stopping by my blog.
